Therapy that Encourages Curiosity and Creativity
At Sea and Create Therapy, building positive change is a collaborative process. I believe therapy is as much of an art form as it is a science. Together we will work to explore all that life offers, one creative journey at a time.
Everyone deserves to feel
truly seen, heard, and
respected in therapy.
Just like artists bring creativity, intuition, and emotion to express their craft, I believe that therapists and clients should feel free to bring these same elements into the therapeutic space.
After completing my BFA in the Theatre Arts and working in the field for many years, I received my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy with Drama Therapy from Antioch University Seattle. I bring over a decade of experience as an educator, facilitator, performer, director, and manager to Sea and Create Therapy.
I quite like wearing many hats! In addition to being a therapist and artist, I am also a mediocre gardener, an enthusiastic pet-owner, a bit of a nerd, and a human being who also regularly attends therapy.
I’m a marriage and family therapist and a drama therapist candidate. I believe in the power of connection and communication.
Therapy groups and workshops offer a profound, supportive, and unique community for growth and change.
Services for those seeking a more private space to dive deep into the therapeutic process.
I recognize that intersectionality comes into play within all facets of treatment. Therapy with me involves an anti-oppression, evidence-based framework which is grounded in social justice practices and science. This therapeutic approach creates a safe, inclusive space where clients can heal and grow, knowing their unique experiences are valued and their treatment is both compassionate and effective.
Drama therapy and the creative arts are engaging because they allow clients to explore emotions and relationships through creative methods, not just talking. While utilizing different art mediums, the body, and imagination in treatment, the clients can gain fresh insights and make lasting changes, which has the potential to make the therapy process more inspiring (and fun!) for everyone involved.
I understand that the weight of life can feel tremendous, and while I’m happy to help shoulder that load--I am also not afraid to gently challenge my clients. At Sea and Create Therapy, we’ll work together to push through barriers, rewrite tired narratives, and discover new strengths to support your journey toward creating well-being.
